Having a number of friends and family who love books might have had just a *little* to do with how far I pushed this WoW fanart commission. When I was asked if I’d be interested in doing ”shelves of books and random artifacts” a part of me just said, “Oh my yes,” without thinking, because I suddenly had visions of wonderful old vanitas paintings, full of skulls and tomes and all manner of natural and unnatural things. How could I resist? I couldn’t, I just couldn’t, and certainly not with a dapper red-headed elf being all steampunky in the middle of it.

It just took, oh, two weeks longer than I expected.

That was a lot of books. And other things.
